Know the limits
- The back panel is a breathable dust fabric, not a liquid barrier. Do not use Vent where you expect heavy saturation or a liquid stream on your back.
- Meant for light splash only, and only on the microporous body. If you need the certified garment, choose the Microporous Coverall.
- Not flame resistant. Do not wear near open flame, sparks, welding or other hot work.
- A vented suit does not replace heat-stress precautions. Use breaks, water and shade.
Vent coverall FAQ
What's the difference between Vent and microporous?
The microporous coverall is film fabric all the way around. Vent uses the same microporous body but replaces the back with a breathable SMS panel, so it runs cooler. The trade-off is that the back is a dust barrier rather than a splash barrier.
Is the Vent Coverall Type 5 & 6 certified?
No. The certification we quote applies to the Microporous Coverall only. If your job or your customer requires a certified garment, choose that one.
Is Vent cooler than SMS?
SMS and polypropylene are cooler still, because they have no film anywhere. Vent is for jobs that need the microporous front and are too hot for a full film suit.
What sizes does it come in?
L through 3XL, with or without attached boots. If you need 4XL, the microporous and SMS coveralls go up to 4XL.
